With 16 private guest rooms and four private cabins, Wahous Wilderness Lodge accommodates weddings, corporate and wellness retreats, family reunions and meaningful gatherings with friends. At the centre of every gathering stands the House of Huupukwanum, ḥuupukʷanum maḥtii (Treasures of the Chiefs) longhouse, the cultural heart of the lodge. Inspired by the rich traditions of the nuučaan̓uɫ (Nuu-chah-nulth), the longhouse is where guests are welcomed in ceremony upon arrival, and where the klup-chus, tapčas (salmon barbecue) brings each stay to a meaningful close, a reflection of ʕaḥuusʔatḥ (Ahousaht) hospitality and living tradition, shared not as performance, but as culture.
