Season
Wahous Wilderness Lodge is open seasonally during the warmer months from May to October. In 2026, the lodge will welcome guests from July 1 to October 11, inclusive.
Length of Stay
Wahous Wilderness Lodge offers three all-inclusive packages:
- Three (3)-night stay from Thursday to Sunday
- Four (4)-night stay from Sunday to Thursday
- Seven (7)-night stay from either Thursday to Thursday, or Sunday to Sunday
Accommodation and Room Categories
Wahous Wilderness Lodge offers 20 accommodation options.
- The primary floathouse, House of Kwa-kwithl – ḳ’ʷak̓ʷaƛ maḥtii (House of Sea Otters), accommodates 16 guest staterooms. Each room hosts either a king-size bed or two (2) twin beds upon request; three-piece washroom facilities; closet; mirrored vanity; large windows and private deck with chairs overlooking the temperate rainforest and Quait Bay.
Staterooms are located on Deck 1 and Deck 2 of the floathouse. The lodge has six Staterooms on each deck with a singular windowed view. Decks 1 and 2 also have two Corner Rooms per floor with the same amenities as the Staterooms, but include two-directional views and a large private deck.
Staterooms and Corner Rooms can accommodate up to two (2) guests at a time only. No additional beds are permitted. Please note the lodge is not wheelchair accessible; stairs are required to access upper-floor rooms.
Four room categories are available for floating lodge rooms:
- Deck One Stateroom – Main floor, standard view
- Deck One Corner – Main floor corner, extra windows, expanded deck space
- Deck Two Stateroom – Upper floor, elevated views
- Deck Two Corner – Upper floor corner with panoramic view and most spacious deck
- Wahous Wilderness Lodge has four (4) guest cabins located nearby the floathouse but on land. Each cabin includes: open-plan ground floor with full kitchen, dining area and lounge; three-piece washroom; fire stove/furnace; king-size bed upstairs; optional queen sofa bed in lounge; large windows and private deck with chairs overlooking the temperate rainforest and Quait Bay.
Cabins can accommodate up to four (4) guests at a time only. Rates apply for parties of two (2) guests. Pricing varies based on cabin size, location and view. Please note that stairs are required to access the cabins, roughly 200 steps from the lodge. A high degree of mobility is required, the cabins are not wheelchair accessible.
Four private cabin types are available:
- qʷayaciik maḥtii (House of Wolf) – Water View
- čiims maḥtii (House of Bear) – Partial Ocean View
- cixʷatin maḥtii (House of Eagle) – Streamside
- quʔišin maḥtii (House of Raven) – Garden View near Stream
Children and Safety
The Lodge welcomes children aged six (6) and older. Standard rates apply for guests aged six (6) to 18. Extra rates apply for children ages six (6) to 18 sharing a room.
Room Amenities
All accommodation options at Wahous Wilderness Lodge include amenities such as:
- King-size bed or optional two twin-sized beds
- Complimentary Wi-Fi (connections may be slow due to remote location)

- Complimentary Wahous Wilderness Lodge thermal water bottles
- Robes for in-house use

In addition, our Private Cabins also include:

- Full kitchen facilities

Deposit Policy
Wahous Wilderness Lodge requires a deposit equal to 50% of the total package cost, at time of booking. The balance will be processed 45 days before guest arrival, and becomes fully non-refundable upon cancellations and no-shows.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 45 days or more before arrival have a $150 fee per person, with the balance refunded. Cancellations within 45 days of arrival forfeit 100% of the total stay cost.
Due to our limited season and remote setting, we are unable to offer flexibility beyond these policies.
Modification Policy
Changes requested 45 days or more before arrival incur a $50 administrative fee per adjustment. Modifications requested within 45 days of arrival cannot be accommodated.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend third-party travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. Monies lost due to no-shows, last-minute cancellations, late arrivals and early departures, etc., are non-refundable.
Taxes and Fees
Packages include accommodation and food and beverage. The following fees are applied pre-tax:
- An automatic 6% service charge to support our team, enhance guest services, and help sustain the exceptional experience at Wahous Wilderness Lodge.
- A 3% Stewardship Fee to support environmental conservation and community programs.
Check In and Check Out
Wahous Wilderness Lodge has arrivals and departures on Thursdays and Sundays only (See Length of Stay).
Our check-in time at *Ahous Adventures is between 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM. On the day of your departure, our checkout time is 10:00 PM.
*Guests are to check-in at the Ahous Adventures in Tofino, located at 368 Main Street, Unit 313, Tofino, British Columbia, V0R 2Z0, Canada. Parking is available at House of Himwitsa for $65 per night and is a 250-metre walk from Ahous Adventures. From here, guests will take one of our two scheduled boat transfers to the Lodge. The boat journey is approximately 20 minutes. To book a boat transfer or inquire about round-trip seaplane transfers from Vancouver to Quait Bay/Wahous Wilderness Lodge, contact booking@wahouswildernesslodge.com for assistance.
The boat transfer on your departure day back to Tofino departs at 11:00 AM. Missing this vessel, requiring an additional boat transfer, will be charged as a private charter. Guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID and credit card, and sign a liability waiver before boarding the vessel to Wahous Wilderness Lodge.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are subject to the Wahous Wilderness Lodge’s teams discretion. Guests must inform the Lodge of early check-in and late check-out requests prior to their arrival to Tofino.
Incidentals
Your package is inclusive of all main meals, snacks, and both alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages by the glass. However, as we have additional amenities available at charge, we will be taking a $500 hold on a credit card of your choice at check-in for items and activities to be charged to your room. At checkout, you will be provided with a full folio for your records, and any money not used will be released onto your credit card.
All-Inclusive Rates and Dining
Your stay at Wahous Wilderness Lodge includes:
- Accommodation in your selected room type for all nights
- All-inclusive meals: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks/canapés and three-course dinner with daily changing à la carte menus at our Kleetsu – ƛiicuu maḥtii (feast house) restaurant
- Snacks available throughout the whole day
- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by the glass
- One (1) Klup-chus Ceremonial Salmon Bake Celebration Dinner in the Longhouse
- Room service:
- Floathouse staterooms offer snacks at all times, and alcoholic beverages are available for an additional charge.
- Private cabins do not have room service available for wildlife safety
Alcohol Policy
At Wahous Wilderness Lodge, our approach to alcohol service reflects our commitment to thoughtful hospitality and respect for the land, culture, and community that surround us. We encourage guests to enjoy alcoholic beverages in a mindful and responsible manner.
Inclusive alcoholic beverages are offered by the glass, served in the restaurant, lounge, and patio seating areas during designated meal service periods.
Bottles, specialty selections, in-room service, or any service outside of designated dining areas or meal periods are available for an additional charge.

Dietary Requirements
Please advise our team of any dietary requirements at the time of booking or before your arrival to the Lodge by contacting bookings@wahouswildernesslodge.com. We do our best to accommodate using available regional produce, however, due to our remote location, strict religious and preferred meal observances cannot be guaranteed.
Mobility and Wheelchair Access
A high level of mobility is essential in order to access Wahous Wilderness Lodge and our facilities. Getting to our property requires embarking and disembarking our vessel onto floating docks, and trails to and from Lodge amenities include steep ramps and flights of stairs.
Wahous Wilderness Lodge is not wheelchair accessible.

Wahous Wilderness Lodge offers a variety of activities and excursions. Some are self-guided and complimentary, whereas others require an experienced guide and at an additional cost.

Waiver
All guests staying at Wahous Wilderness Lodge are required to complete a mandatory liability waiver upon check-in at Ahous Adventures.
Transportation
Wahous Wilderness Lodge is located in Quait Bay in the Clayoquot Sound; an approximate 20-minute boat journey from Tofino, B.C.
A boat transfer to and from the Lodge at arrival and departure is included in our all-inclusive packages. There are no daily boat transfers throughout the guests’ stay to Tofino. Arrival boat transfer bookings required. Contact booking@wahouswildernesslodge.com.
Parking is not included in your package. Wahous Wilderness Lodge does not have designated parking for its guests, and must be found independently. Please contact us directly for more information and assistance.
Seaplane transfers available from Vancouver to Quait Bay on request (subject to availability). Please contact us directly for assistance.
Important to note: Once at Wahous Wilderness Lodge, there are no scheduled trips to Tofino until your departure date. For unexpected earlier departures, a private charter will incur an additional cost.
Smoking Policy
Wahous Wilderness Lodge is a 100% non-smoking property. Evidence of smoking will result in a $500 fee per incident.
Pet Policy
Wahous Wilderness Lodge is not a pet-friendly resort, as domesticated animals are a wildlife attractant. Please reach out to our guest services team at bookings@wahouswildernesslodge.com for pet-sitting options in Tofino, or if you have a service animal (B.C. documentation will be required).
Currency
All prices quoted and charged at Wahous Wilderness Lodge are in Canadian dollars (CAD), and it is the only currency we accept. It is to the discretion of individual team members whether they accept gratuity in a different currency.
Quiet Time
Wahous Wilderness Lodge observes quiet hours beginning at 11:00 PM to preserve a peaceful and restorative environment for all guests.
