Each stay follows a gentle cadence of arrival, exploration, gathering and rest.
Your journey begins with check-in at Ahous Adventures in Tofino, followed by a boat transfer to Quait Bay. At the far end of the crossing, you arrive in a place both ancient and alive, followed by an evening of gathering, dining and unwinding.
From there, each day is yours. Mornings unfold slowly, with coffee or tea on your private deck, a quiet kayak across the bay or a morning gentle ritual at the spa. Breakfast follows when you are ready. The day opens for self-guided adventure, guided excursions or quiet restoration, paddling calm waters, walking forest trails, unwinding at Oo-chims, ʔuusmč maḥtii (cleansing house), Spa or simply pausing to take in the stillness of the bay. Lunch may be enjoyed on the lodge, packed for an outing or shared as a private picnic on the beach. Evenings bring guests back together for dinner before the lodge settles into a quiet close to the day.
Departure mornings include breakfast and a return boat transfer to Tofino.
Wahous Wilderness Lodge sits in Quait Bay, accessible only by water. The journey is part of the experience, a short crossing through Clayoquot Sound that marks the threshold between the everyday and the days ahead. Your package includes round-trip arrival and departure boat transfers between Tofino and Quait Bay.

A short walk from the lodge, four private cabins offer a more secluded forest stay. Each is named for the creatures of this territory, qʷayaciik maḥtii (House of Wolf), čiims maḥtii (House of Bear), cixʷatin maḥtii (House of Eagle) and qu˔išin maḥtii (House of Raven). Open-plan and unhurried, each cabin includes a full kitchen and expansive views of the forest and water. They are built for guests who want to settle in, slow down and let the days stretch.

(Floating lodge)
House of Kwa-kwithl, ḳʷakʷaƛ maḥtii (House of Sea Otters), is our floating lodge, suspended over the still water of Quait Bay. Sixteen private guest rooms across four categories offer large windows, a private waterfront deck and the particular quiet that comes from sleeping above the tide. Throughout the lodge, hidden pockets of serenity wait in the common areas. Curl up by the fire, share stories in the longhouse or pause at any window to take in the surrounding rainforest.

The Longhouse
At the heart of the property stands the House of Huupukwanum, ḥuupukʷanum maḥtii (Treasures of the Chiefs) longhouse, the cultural centre of Wahous Wilderness Lodge. Inspired by the rich traditions of the nuučaan̓uɫ (Nuu-chah-nulth), the longhouse is a place of gathering, storytelling and shared experience, where traditions are respectfully shared, not as performance, but as living culture. Every stay begins and ends here.
